To create a frog sculpture, Cobb draws each frog piece on a sheet of copper in his Wilmington, North Carolina studio.

He then hammers and folds the sheets into the desired shape, much like origami.

Cobb assembles most of his pieces around a steel armature, then connects them using a process call brazing.
